As some of you know, we’ve been trying to move for a long time. Our old office had no AC, no heat, lots of bugs, and was generally just too small. Goodbye 160 sq ft; Hello 1000sq ft!!

Not only is this upgrade amazing, the rent is just about the same. However, moving always costs a lot of money and we really want to hire on another employee. So, the answer is clear… WE MUST FUNDRAISER!

In the old days, we took donations for Auditorium and were able to stay true with our promises and make it into a fully developed title. Now, it’s on the web, iPhone, iPad, and coming soon to the PS3, XBox360, and PSP! This time, we’ll be offering both Auditorium and Fractal for 50% off, lowering both titles to $4.99 for two weeks. This special moving sale promo will end on July 30th, so act fast! You will also receive a free audio track with either purchase during the sale. With Auditorium comes Autumn, our first single. Fractal comes with Iterate!, Fractal’s theme song.

Now, we must ask you all for your support (trust me, it means a lot). Here are some of the great ways you can help us keep making amazing titles.

Unfortunately, moving takes a lot of time and money. Which means, we’re going to have a moving sale! So, what is the moving sale? Both Auditorium and Fractal will be offered at $4.99 each. We’ll be giving you Iterate ( the theme to Fractal ) with any Fractal purchase and we’ll be giving you Autumn ( the 1st Auditorium single) with any copy of Auditorium.

On top of that, we’re going to be opening up donations for the duration of the sale. This is rather huge for us and something we haven’t done since we created the demo of Auditorium. Dain and I are currently trying to figure out what we can give to anyone who donates, but rest assured we’ll figure something out. This is a really tricky time for us right now and we sincerely need your help. I promise no donation will go unnoticed. If anyone has any ideas for what we could give away for donations just let us know!

If all goes as planned it looks like the sale will start mid-next week! For anyone who is local, you know we have a few t-shirts laying around. We’ll be working on getting those online soon as well!

We’re pushing an update that will finally link Auditorium and the Cipher Prime Store! You’ll no longer need to remember two different usernames and passwords!

The update process is very simple and streamlined — all you’ll need to do is log into your Auditorium account and follow the instructions there. If you already have a CP Store account, you’ll be able to link Auditorium; if you don’t, you’ll be able to easily create one. And all of your progress in Auditorium will still be saved.

This change also means that Auditorium will benefit from the Store’s streamlined purchase process. You’ll be able to log into the store, click the Auditorium link, and be automatically logged in — and vice-versa.

Both sites will be down for a few hours while we push this update. You can contact us anytime at support@cipherprime.com if you have any questions about the transition.

• Score Loading Bug – Scores were not always loading properly, resulting in what looked like a loss of data. If you had this bug you will now be able to see scores saved previously.
• Resolution Positioning in OSX – Occasionally the screen would not center itself after a resolution change had been made.
• Intermittent Black Screen on Load – Very rare, but in some cases the game would not initialize the display properly.
• Windows Users Will No Longer Have to Uninstall to Update
• Arcade Scoring – arcade scores will now save to the newely selected scoreboard once you change modes
• Update System Changed – hitting “No” when asked to update will tell the application to ignore the update for one week
• Added Native Resolution Option – this is a double-edged sword… Fractal will look fantastic, but we doubt that the performance rendered by this option will be bearable for anyone. We decided that it should be added as an option anyway, because it’s been one of the most requested features.
• Random Performance Tweaks ( We are still actively working on performance related issues )

Audio-puzzle games are few and far between. But when taking a look at Cipher Prime Studios’ portfolio, we can understand that the developers have decided to take their skills and channel them toward making engaging titles in this genre.

I’ve never understood the phrase “when push comes to shove”. What’s that even supposed to mean? I think it has something to do with how one action can produce a significant reaction, but is it necessarily a bad thing? In Fractal, the newest puzzle game by Cipher Prime (makers of Auditorium), pushing and shoving in just the right way can lead to an explosively good time.
