We’re pleased to announce the official site for Fractal is finally live! We’ve been working on this baby for eight months now, and we can’t wait to let you guys get your hands on it. Where Auditorium was much more experience, Fractal is definitely more game, and any puzzle fanatic with a penchant for combos and cascades will feel right at home. We’ve still brought our own flavor to the genre by introducing:
- Multi-dimensional gameplay, where you create and control pieces in up to six directions at once.
- Dynamic difficulty adjustment, so the game stays at your ideal challenge level.
- A new reactive music system called MusicBox, that composes music on the fly based on how you play.
Head on over to playfractal.com to check the trailer and get more details on the game! More info about release dates/platforms will be available soon on both the blog and Fractal site. Oh yeah, don’t forget we also have an RSS and Twitter feed for easy push updates. Stay tuned!

I cannot WAIT for Fractal. The trailer looks like it will be dang challenging, but, I'm excited to see what it has to offer. I love the music portion of Cipher Prime, so I'm thrilled to learn more. I'll even write a review on my website when it's released! :]

Wow, your first game was absolutely incredible, I am so excited to see another game to be released!

I can't say I'm really excited. From what I can see on the trailer, Fractal doesn't seem to be my kind of game. Maybe it's the trailer's fault: it only shows the features of the game but not what the game is. What do you have to do? Don't get me wrong though; it sure looks like a great game. Congratulations, guys and, again, hope you win the IGF.

Please oh please release the trailer music! It will really make my day. A few questions: -Is one of your inspirations the JR Hexatone app? -Also, if I have already subscribed to the Auditorium mailing list, do I have to subscribe again?

Like Simon, it doesn't seem to be my kind of game. But I hope the gameplay will really suprise me. I hope we can test it soon :)

Same feeling with schupin and Simon. *sucks at puzzle games* That's what it is, isn't it? You click on an empty space, pushing the Fractals together to try and get points through forming bigger / linked Fractals

-Sorry for double posting, I clicked Submit halfway- I think I'll probably find myself saying a "Wow!" or two during the gameplay, though. Hope it's as good (maybe even better?) a success than Auditorium.

Wasn't Cipher Prime a team of 2 people? Who's Ben Ells? His name is in the credits page on the fractal website.

It looks like Cipher Prime may have expanded to 3 people? :) Hey, game studios can expand over time.

Oh, hey guys, i love your works, but, a question: you will work with adobe flash again?? I enjoyed the demo of Auditorium, but its behavior on my linux system was erratic for me, and i didn't buy it. I know that the only culprit is adobe and theirs pitiful plugin, but will be awesome to see a version of fractal running flawless, independent of the system =/

I think it is awesome that you have an intern from Canada. I hope you are making him work hard! Good luck with the game.

Excellent. One question - are you doing an iPhone version - the UI certainly looks more amenable to that than auditorium was. Also, the button for playing the trailer - yes, I know, it's big, but sticking it in the header is a really bad idea. I took quite some time before finding it, as I tend to automatically skip over "banner ads". A second button elsewhere on the page would be helpful...

Look pretty but the gameplay is completely impenetrable from the video. How do you play? What's the aim? Is this why it's a teaser trailer?
